The floating bracket is a wild concept!  It consists of a typical double elimination 16 team bracket.  The key to the bracket is that all games throughout the bracket are drawn out of a hat.  The first round games are done in a live draw at the Coaches Meeting.

Now there is a great deal of commitment in this from the directors and the teams.  Teams instead of knowing that they have a 2pm gametime for instance they will only know they will have a 2pm to 5pm gametime as an example.  This just adds a different effect to the tournament.

It is a complete live draw dracket.  The Floating Bracket name was a personal creation of ISA State Director Josh Pelfrey.  The Floating affect is because the brackets do not connect until the end because of the live draw effect.

This formula will be used in the 1st Annual Floating Frenzy Sponsored by Miken in Athens, TN this year.  There will be a 16 team maximum in the Mens Open and a 8 team maximum in the Womens Open.

Thanks for Playing ISA!
